Pieza que registra el canto a Kontoy, héroe de la cultura Ayuuk (Mixe de Oaxaca, México): el Rey Bueno. Compuesta por un video donde se escucha el canto que se hace al personaje y donde se observan subtítulos que describen la leyenda de dicho ser.
Acompaña a dicho video una serie de parches serigrafiados que replican la iconografía proveniente de la indumentaria punk urbana, que contienen fragmentos escritos en mixe del canto mencionado; complementados con una serie de imágenes en alto contraste provenientes de diferentes referencias.
Piece that records the hymn to Kontoy, a mythical figure of the Ayuuk culture: the good king. Composed of a video where you can hear the song in Ayuuk (indigenous language) that is made to the character and see subtitles that describe the legend of said being.
This video is accompanied by a series of silkscreened patches that replicate the iconography from urban punk clothing, which contain written fragments in Mixe of the aforementioned song; complemented by a series of high-contrast images from different references.
